- KYB MonoMax SHOCKS
- UNPARALLELED RIDE CONTROL
-
- Small trucks, SUVs, and 4WDs
are prized for their versatility, but their top-heavy construction
lends itself to loose, unstable handling - excessive pitch and
roll in turns, nose dive and squat when stopping and accelerating.
Driving can be less enjoyable, even dangerous. But it doesn't
have to be. Rugged precision engineered MonoMax shocks give SUVs
and trucks a tout, sedan-like ride, regular shocks cannot deliver.
-
- MADE TO BE PUNISHED - MADE
TO LAST
-
- The best ride control means
nothing if it doesn't last. That's why KYB has engineered MonoMax
to endure the punishment of off-road driving and still outlast
regular shocks.
- 1.
velocity-sensitive valving
Multi-stage
valve compression enables the shock to adjust to driving conditions
automatically. Under gentle road conditions, the valving allows
maximum ride comfort. As conditions get rougher, the valving
makes the shock response firmer to maintain tire contact and
vehicle control.
- 2.
sintered iron pistons and guide rods
Sintered
metal provides for greater strength than traditional metals,
extending shock life and durability.
- 3.
extra large floating piston and monotube design
Extra-large
46mm bore and piston for the most demanding conditions. Monotube
design and floating piston keep oil and nitrogen gas completely
separate,
eliminating shock fade.
- 4.
micro-smooth, hardened / chromed 5/8 piston rods
KYB
has the smoothest hardened/chromed rods in the business for extra-long
life and reliability. MonoMax shocks feature oversize 5/8"
piston rods for extra strength.
- 5.
seamless cylinders and eye rings
Most
shock cylinders & eye rings are made from flat metal and
welded at the seam.KYB cylinders and eye rings are extruded as
seamless cylinders, eliminating weak points created by welded
seams.
-
- 6.
Viton® oil seal with self-sealing packing
KYB
monotube shocks use Viton® oil seals
and self-sealing packing to keep the oil in
and contaminants out.
